With over 5000 existing housing units and increased population, ROAM occupies a critical position to enable Rimbayu township with high density and high amenities. The emergence of visionary commercial development and public living room aims to elevate the community’s livability by offering a third place besides lifestyle and workstyle. To complete the puzzle of masterplan, this dynamic project integrates green pocket and vibrant community spaces to create an urban ecosystem that fosters discovery, interaction, and sustainable living. The development offers an immersive experience to navigate through integrated spaces designed for work, leisure and community engagement. The development benefits from the slim linear site that offers 350 meters of visual exposure along the SKVE highways and Persiaran Bayu, creating an impressive city façade. Most importantly, Roam comprises 4 distinct blocks with various components offering the visitors the opportunity to shop, work, play and gather.
The co-existence between anchor tenants, boutique retail, small offices and commercial En-bloc will attract diverse crowd for different purpose and the plaza leading to green pockets will host the visitors. With the design methodology of Cross-programming, the program diversity between commercial, recreational, working and multi-purpose spaces creates opportunities to facilitates new interactions and uses within the buildings of different typologies. Furthermore, unlike a typical shop office where floor operates in isolation, the circulation loop at retail and interconnected corridors at office level encourages social interaction. As Rimbayu’ s young demographic grows, the demands of variety of retail and workplace evolve. With the era of collaborative working, the upper floor offices configuration allows social interaction with connected corridor, atrium and skylight. ROAM sets a benchmark for responsible and forward-thinking city planning—creating a connected and resilient urban hub that evolves with its community.
