This proposal for the Golden Suspension Bridge, sited in a premier location on the river and serving a singular purpose for connecting pedestrians and cyclists, will connect the new generations of Kuching folk and Sarawakians to have their own memories of the new bridge and to be able to share in the memories of their elders.

The Golden Suspension Bridge shall celebrate the many rich tradition and heritage of Sarawak traditional arts and crafts work, with flowing frond-like patterns, as well as ethnic bead work to be incorporated in the detail design of the bridge. Appropriate LED lighting and festive lighting may be integrated with structure cladding finishes.
