The design approach for the MRO-SAE Hangar meet the Employer’s requirements for a hangar to accommodate a combination of three A 320 aircrafts (where one bay is to be dedicated for painting of aircraft), with apron and taxiway, complete with a two storey office building annex, car-parking and provision for future car-parking extension, facilities and ancillary constructions for services and technical installations.

The following are the key considerations in the Design Approach: A Contemporary Aesthetic for the Hangar; Functionality and Efficient Usage of Space; Economy of Structure and Materials; Compliance to the Authorities and Statutory Requirements and Cost Efficient and Sustainable. There shall be no disruption to access and activities of the existing SAE hangar during the implementation of the new MRO-SAE Hangar.
